its a great graphics cards. Its quieter than my system fans. I have 3 running on one system and there doesn’t seem to be an excessive amount of heat/noise like there was from my 1080 ti xtreme models.It looks like a solid card – nothing jutting out. I honestly haven’t used it for gaming. But using it for its OTHER purpose, its a 2.6X step up up from the 1080 ti xtreme. The power intake varies between 205W and 320W. The ROI should be around 6 months if current ETHEREUM prices sustain at around $1750. If you can grab this card between $1500-$2200, you will be lucky. If you’re interests are gaming, Just buy a last generation Xbox One or PlayStation 4 Pro for around $300. If your interests sway towards mining, this seems like the best return per Watt card out there.

I knew it already needed thermal pads replaced before buying. For the money spent it should come ready to run full blast all the time. Comes stock with garbage thermal pads on memory.

Pros: amazing performance aint too loud even under max load. i can at least play star citizen now on max settings in 1090p at 60 fps 😀 Also you can easily overclock over 2000 Hrtz without any higher temps if you got good cooling. Cons: had to wait a year to buy it at a decent price. Overall Review: i would def recommend this to anyone.

Pros: – Handles just about anything! Great scores on 3DMark, ridiculously solid FPS in high end games running ultra performance 1080p (Horizon: Zero Dawn=90-130, Cyberpunk=70-110) – From reviews, seems to handle 1440p and 4k quite well too, which will be my upgrade plan next year (monitors) – Heat handles great stock (Corsair 4000D Airflow with 3x intake fans, GPU idles 35C, ultra settings Cyberpunk or 3dMark maxes around 65-70C), and even better if you are comfortable working with custom fan curves – Price vs Performance value for this particular card is strangely better than a lot of other 3080 cards, especially now as prices are slightly coming down after so long – Much more elegant looking of a card than just about anything else on the market, fits aesthetic builds nicely, not too “gamer-y” chunky plastic textures compared to the rest Cons: – HEAVY! If you horizontal mount as is standard, I highly suggest a GPU support bracket (saves you from future pcie slot connectivity issues, or warped PCBs) – LARGE! Very long card, make sure you check physical dimensions and that your case can handle the length, DO NOT CHOKE OUT THE CARD BY INSTALLING THE FAN-SIDE TOO CLOSE TO ANY SURFACE! (this card needs proper ventilation) Overall Review: Basically, the card is a fantastic 3080 that handles just like the rest of the, however, from what reviews/comparisons I have seen, it runs a tad cooler than many others purely due to its physical cooler size. The HEAVY and LARGE cons are somewhat outweighed by the fact that that basically pertains to ALL serious top end GPUs these days. If you are in the market for an air cooled 3080, and you do not want to pay the premiums for the Ti, this one is one of the best, especially since it is for SOME reason that I cannot figure out, cheaper than a lot of the other 3080 cards on the market. Gigabyte has aimed the “vision” product line at content creators, so the nice bonus of this card is the engineering that went into it is aimed at efficient heat , fast data rates, and proven reliable workloads, for simultaneous multi-job requirements like streaming, gaming and/or rendering, etc. Even though it is still considered expensive vs MSRP, if you are remotely in the arena to buy a 3080, I highly suggest this particular one!

Pros: *Forgive the picture quality I took it through a glass. I don’t believe there’s any scratching on the gpu. I think that’s a mark on the glass. Where my pc is setup it’s hard to take a photo when it’s on. Also that’s two different pci cables and not a daisy link. Hard to tell in photo. Very powerful gpu for 1080p and 1440p gaming that supports ray tracing! Maybe considered a little lower end for 4k gaming but I’ve been having fun with it at 4k and didn’t want to spend much more money than the current sale price. The ray tracing works good at 4k too but it depends what you consider good. I’m pretty much good with anything above 30fps as long as the frames don’t drop below that often. When I bought this it was on sale for $599 with a $10 rebate bringing it to 589.99 but after taxes around $629. Gigabyte is a very trustworthy company. They’ve honored their 3 year Warranty in the past. Some other Graphics card vendors such as Sapphire will treat the customer poorly and will not honor their small 2 year Warranty. I usually find deals on Gigabyte and MSI brand gpus. They’re usually cheaper than the competition. EVGA is always expensive compared to Gigabyte and MSI. I think Asus runs deals every so often. The gpu brands I’ve owned are XFX 8800 gts 320mb, Gigabyte 470, Gigabyte 570(Gigabyte honored warranty and upgraded me), MSI gtx 760, Gigabyte 1070 8gb, Sapphire 580(died on me and Sapphire was rude to me and didn’t want to honor warranty), MSI 480(died on me but was used card. Probably a miners card). MSI 5600 xt 6gb(traded it for rx 5500 xt4g and got cash from it.) I don’t ever recommend trading for cards because you might not be so lucky and get a dead one. Also didn’t realize at the time the trade was going to be for a Sapphire rx 5500xt 4gb but it ended up working out fine. Didn’t die on me yet! Still don’t recommend Sapphire. I highly recommend Gigabyte and MSI products because they’re usually offering the better deals and their Customer Support from my experience has been one of the best. I had an MSI motherboard that I thought was defective but I think the bios was off on it and MSI fixed it. I now make sure to keep my Bio updated on it. – White GPU/Silver goes great with my Corsair 678c case. – Huge upgrade coming from an rx 5500 xt 4gb – Sign up on Gigabyte Aurous website to get the 3 year Warranty – At the time of this review Gigabyte on Newegg is offering the cheapest price on RTX 3070 8GB. Comes in both white and black variation depending what you preder. – Cool rgb light on the Gigabyte logo. They also have software to change the color. Right now I have mine red. – I can’t emphasize enough of about my love for Gigabyte and MSI products. They usually just work and if there does end up being an issue and they deem that the user isn’t at fault they have no issues replacing parts or in some case maybe even upgrading parts. I have love for Gigabyte and MSI. Cons: The only Con I can think of is that the price will probably go back up under inflation. Also all the people waiting for the 4000 series are probably going to be disappointed when they are all bought out by bots and are probably going to be expensive too. I’m not an expert so you choose to do what you want with your money. Whether that’s wait which could cost you more in the long run if the 3000 series ends up jumping back up in price. Right now it’s about msrp I believe. I believe it’s the founders edition which used to go for around $499 the vendors such as Gigabyte, MSI, EVGA, Asus and the top brands of Nvidia usually ask for a little more because of the cooler on it and I believe they’re a little faster than the Founders Edition. Overall Review: Make sure you have 650 watt psu or higher. I made the mistake of originally getting this and thinking my standard not bronze 80 plus EVGA would be enough and that was also a daisy link connection which could have made this graphics card underperform. I ended up going with what the internet recommended and picked up a gently used like new corsair rm650x 80 plus gold 650 watt power supply and now this computer runs like a beast. I cannot confirm if my original power supply was dying but it was creating lag spikes in GTA V until I upgraded my power supply. Gigabyte does recommend a 650 watt power supply and I know people say but with your setup it should have only been using around 400-450 watts at the most. True but maybe there’s a huge quality difference between standard 80 plus(not even bronze psu) and gold 80 plus. Either way if the gpu vendor is recommending a certain power supply wattage there’s probably a good reason for it. With my old EVGA 600 watt standard 80 plus psu that I had bought from best buy a couple years ago I was getting crashes in Friday the 13th the game on steam. When I got to the main menu it would crash. When I received this new psu in the mail today I get no crashes now. So the Gigabyte RTX 3070 8gb didn’t like something about that EVGA 600 watt power supply. It could have been the daisy link cable and not separate pci cables. Who knows what it is and maybe the manufacturer of this card can reply and let me know what they think the issue was. Whether my EVGA 600 watt was dying or if I just needed a 650 watt psu for whatever reason. I felt the need to correct this review because Gigabyte has been a very kind company to me. When I have issues they resolve those issues. Not all companies are ran this way sadly. I’ve had a horrible experience with Sapphire and PNY. Two companies that are probably not as big as Gigabyte or MSI. I feel like the bigger companies usually have better customer service and that’s why they make the big bucks. Treat the customer with respect and help them resolve issues. It pays off because it makes the customer want to do business with them in the future. I will never give Sapphire or PNY my business ever again. I had an issue with a PNY ssd and their company blew me off because they didn’t like that I purchased it from them directly & they knew it was brand new. This is why I prefer to buy things on Newegg but even with that said PNY didn’t have to be rude. Also PNY’s customer service was laughably bad. The first person completely ignored me and the second person just said they wouldn’t honor the Warranty. Lesson learned not to do business with PNY but also if you’re going to buy New it’s probably recommended to buy from Newegg because if there’s issues the company can’t fall back on excuses on why they won’t honor their Warranty. Sorry for this rant and if you had better experience with Sapphire and PNY that’s good but I personally didn’t. So I will bad mouth them because it’s my money and if I felt like I was treat poorly I let others know to Warn them about said company. Best price I’ve ever gotten on a upper mid range graphics card was an Msi rx 5600 xt 6gb. Bought from Newegg back in September of 2020 and they must have been running a deal. I was able to do some 4k gaming with mixed settings with that card. Obviously that card is much weaker at 4k gaming compared to an rx 3070 8gb but I’m telling you that’s insane value for that card. Nvidia and AMD both have their pros and cons. Nvidia’s control panel is really dated looking and looks like something from Windows XP time period and AMD’s control panel in my personal opinion is much more attractive looking. Also Nvidia and AMD both have different image sharpening and it makes the graphics in games look a little different or unique looking. I wouldn’t say one is worse or better than the other even though many claim AMD is better. I think if a person is used to Nvidia image sharpening they might prefer that over the AMD sharpening and vice versa. If someone was used to how AMD gpus looked with their image sharpening they’d probably prefer AMD. Nvidia right now is Winning in the Ray Tracing War. From what I’ve read and heard in videos online is that AMD’s 6000 series is awful at ray tracing.
