The little bit of time it takes to connect your phone to the drone remote seems to add up over time. You then really appreciate the simplicity of just starting the smart remote control without a phone.

Previously I had both a mavic pro and a mavic 2 zoom. What amazes me about the air2s is not only the camera quality but the added features in the air26, While it doesn’t have side sensors I find myself not needing them. I feel extremely comfortable flying the air2s in a wide variety of situations. Granted I’m not a fpv racer guy. This is a solid, stable drone that produces high quality images and video that any consumer level or even pro-sumer level drone pilot will enjoy. Hint, If you are considering purchasing the item go for the fly more package. It’s considerably less expensive than trying to buy the batteries items separately or for that matter all the other items supplied.

Pros: Easy to use, fast, small, no registration Cons: Flight time, no crash detection Overall Review: Best drone for the price range and learning curve. This is an entry level with many of the big things the more expensive ones have but the distance and compact size make this worth while. Very fun to use and explore my surroundings will upgrade in a few years to a more bigger one once I master this one.

Pros: Although I do recommend watching a few videos to learn all the features the Mini 2 has along with how to use them, this thing is incredibly intuitive and stable to the point that my mother – a senior citizen – was able to pick it up and fly it with ease. I am very impressed with the quality of images the camera produces and the latency between the drone and the display screen is only about a half of a second which seems reasonable for a hobbyist drone. Cons: RESEARCH COMPATIBLE MOBILE DEVICES – not every phone/tablet can download the DJI Fly app. There should be more emphasis or disclaimers about the limited mobile device compatibility. Maybe it is there and I missed it which could be my fault, but I had no idea what I was getting into. I generally buy the cheapest smartphone because my phone is simply a phone to me, not my primary computing or surfing device and I had no idea that it would not work until my drone arrived. I really didn’t want to buy a new phone since my phone works and the compatible phones cost nearly as much as the compatible tablets so I went with an iPad mini and 3d printed the “Mini 2 / Mavic Air 2 – iPad mini Hook – Just Right” which works perfectly. Overall Review: Great product that is easy to use with a lot of functionality. I suggest trying to download the DJI Fly app on the device you intend to use it on prior to purchase. If you cannot download the app, your device is not compatible so you’d better prepare to spend roughly another $400 or more to fly it or look at other options.

First of all, you could never tell it was a refurbished unit. Looks brand new and comes sealed in factory wrapping, stickers, etc. The drone is also amazing. I’ve had it out in 30-40mph winds and it is able to hover in place. Still learning video editing, but that will take time. The image sensor on the drone is good enough for true Cinematic shots.

I purchased the drone but had to wait a few weeks for the weather to change so I could fly it. I am impressed at how easily it is to learn the functions of the drone and controller. I thought that without the smart controller the flight experience would be terrible, but it is great with just the use of a smart phone. I am happy with the item.

As always, the premium controller for the Mavic is outstanding. You can be flying in under 30 seconds from powering on the controller. The screen is bright enough to see in direct sunlight, and the second fingertip wheel allows you to precision zoom for things like dolly zooms. Mini-HDMI out allows you to connect to an external monitor or VR headset for live inspections. Supports sideloading of apps, so you can install anything that will run.

Pros: Works well Easy to set up Cons: none Overall Review: Bought 2 of these and both worked great. It was my first drone and have had zero issues. Glade we got the flymore combo for the extra batteries, you’ll most likely want them. Went out into the country to test fly them for the first time so there were no airspace issues. Putting the phone in airplane mode and flying at and altitude of 120m we were getting a range of 2000m. Haven’t had too much free time to test more, but i felt that was rather good.

Seems fine, as the previous Smart controller, but missing the HDMI port which came in handy for supplemental monitor add-ons. Still doable with other cables. Wish the screen had brightness options. I’ve never been happy with 1000 nits in bright sunlight. That’s the need for the additional monitor add-on. 2200nits and up works for me. Good product with that point made.
