Pros: The size, color, and resolution on the monitor are beautiful. It can handle lower resolutions gracefully without stretching Cons: I have a PC – Display port and a Mac – Thunderbolt (Usb-c) connected. No access to display controls/menus when no active source is connected (not even input selection) Waking the display after the laptop has slept overnight is a nightmare of repeated powercycles and cable removal/reset. (usb-c) Switching between 2 active inputs (work laptop / home pc) is occasionally problematic NOT friendly to a powerbook(OSX) over HDMI, to get full resolution I needed to go to a Thunderbolt3 cable. Overall Review: Overall it is a great monitor. The switching problems are frustrating, but would still recommend. DEFINITELY recommend if only one system. Get this sucker as far from your seat on your desk as you can, it’s hyooge.

Pros: – OLED display means you get those INK blacks – Screen dimensions allow you to have the benefits of a vertical and horizontal monitors (coding+gaming) – I am able to run my games in full 4k at 120fps using 3080ti – Has real HDR – Panel is picked off the LG line, but binned for response time – The speakers are insane for a monitor – KVM works with MBP and desktop, so I can use the same KB for work and play – PBP on a monitor of this size is useable Cons: – With most OLED products, the screen dims as the dimensions of white space increases (e.g. if you go from a small white window and expand it to full screen, the entire screen dims) – Auto-dimming can be annoying at times / It’s way too aggressive – You have to precaution against burn-in (I turn off my taskbar) – HDR turns off some monitor adjustments such as sharpness, so I actually use SD normally – If you set the volume to 0, it can sometimes blow out the sound – This really should have more ports for the KVM – HDMI/DP/USB-B Passthrough should be on the right side where most PCs are located; split USB-A/USB-C ports between left and right Overall Review: I would recommend this monitor, but beware that the price is pretty steep. UPDATE (11/23/21): When I set the volume to 0, the sound blows out. The monitor is unable to play any sound until my PC reboots. I’ve also noticed loud noises when starting up the PC on occasion. Reduced it to 3 eggs from 5 after experiencing the sound issue and port situation.

Pros: I’m blown away by how this thing looks. Supposedly OLEDs aren’t as bright, but it’s bright enough for me. I usually keep it at 60% during the day and 20% at night. I realized how bad some of my color choices for my projects were after seeing them through this display, which has WAY more accurate color. The unit looks great. It’s marketed towards gamers but doesn’t have any goofy nonsense on it. The remote is a nice touch. I don’t use the built in speakers, but they are front facing, yet barely noticeable, and a nice touch if you need them. The OSD is kind of slow, but functional. Cons: I’m only leaving this review to do my part in pressuring gigabyte to FIX the issues on this otherwise great product. The auto dimming is UNBEARABLE. I am a dark mode kind of guy, so the screen dimming when a large bright window is displayed doesn’t really affect me, but the screen dimming after 5 minutes is absolutely absurd. Its especially absurd when I am using it at night at low brightness and it STILL kicks in while I’m using the thing. It is WAY too aggressive and doesn’t take into account when it is being used at low brightness. I am on Firmware F05 and it is still unacceptable. I still have my rebate form sitting in an envelope because I don’t know if I will keep this thing. The issue is I have no idea what I would even replace it with if I did return it. Gigabyte needs to at the VERY LEAST disable auto-brightness adjustments when the user is operating the display at lower brightness to begin with. Overall Review: I would absolutely recommend this even with its flaws if the auto brightness adjustment was fixed. At the moment I cannot. The Display dimmed on me 3 times while writing this review even with a YouTube video playing in the corner.
